Who We Are...
Christian Heartbeat is dedicated to helping the Church break out of our sanctuaries to speak
directly to people of faith—or of lost faith—wherever they may be found. We are registered in the State of Florida as a
not-for-profit corporation. We take as a model for our mission the life and
death of Jesus Christ, who led those who would listen to a fuller realization
of God’s spiritual kingdom here on earth, and stood up to the political powers of his
day, demanding restoration of a the compassionate and just culture God intended
for the world.
Gary Broughman is President of Christian Heartbeat Inc. and publisher of
ChristianHeartbeat.org. Gary is a Christian writer and teacher educated in the
Lutheran Church. He is now a member of Coronado Community United Methodist in
New Smyrna Beach, Florida, where he has served as drama coordinator, and as a
teacher of both youth and adults. Gary can be reached at 386-690-9295.
Board members of the non-profit Christian Heartbeat include Dr. Clyde Walker, a
psychologist, Christian counselor and ordained Southern Baptist minister; and
Martha Ross, a church administrator and former Latin teacher who also serves on
the board of the Daytona Beach Film Festival.
